| Mecum's Auction Company Teams with HD Theater |

Muscle car enthusiasts that can't seem to make it to enough car shows and conventions will soon be able to get their fix from the comfort of their living room. The Mecum Auction Company and the HD Theater announced on February 26 that the two companies were teaming up to air the live Mecum Auto Auction: Muscle Cars and More.

The new show will be first live weekly auto auction that will be shown in high definition. The show will cover Mecum's marquee event, a classic, competitive auction that will be featuring rare exotic cars, classic cars and high end muscle cars. Mecum's Auto Auction will debut on March 29 at 8 pm Pacific time on the Discovery Network's HD Theater. The first show will feature Mecum's 21st Annual Spring Classic. Over 1000 cars will be auctioned off during the three hour show.
The Mecum's Auto Auction show will be broadcast live in high definition every Saturday. The shows will be broadcast from Indianapolis at the Indiana State Fairgrounds and will feature a weekly auction.. Around sixty cars will be auctioned off live during each Saturday's episode as bidders fight for the rare, classic and high end vehicles available. The series will not only feature muscle and classic car auctions, but will also feature the people behind the classic cars, including the collectors and restorers. The show will also feature behind the bidding drama and in depth profiles of available cars.

With main headquarters in Marengo, Ill, The Mecum Auction Company is entering its third decade of auctioning off collectable cars. They specialize in Corvettes and muscle cars in addition to producing the annual Bloomington Gold Corvettes USA car show. The show celebrates its 35th anniversary this year. Mecum Auction Company plans to present an manage fourteen car auctions across the United States in 2008. Its 50,000 car will be sold at auction this spring.
